What we do
Homes give off signals before their owners buy: a hail swath crosses the roof, a permit gets pulled, a family moves in, a solar project stalls when the installer goes under. ScoutStack collects those signals nationwide and turns them into work product for sales teams — canvassing routes in Scout, dialer-ready lists in Atlas, and raw access through the property data API.
The data underneath
The platform runs on one of the larger permit databases in the country: more than 120 million building permits across 2,456 U.S. counties, refreshed continuously, joined with storm contours, property records on 160M+ properties, ownership, and owner-matched contact data. We publish original research from the same database — see our solar permit statistics and roof replacement statistics — under the same rule we hold our product to: real counts, stated methodology, no rounding up.
How we work
- Signals over volume. A smaller list of homes with a live reason to buy beats a bigger list of addresses. Everything in the product is organized around timing.
- The owner, not an occupant. Contact data is matched to the person on title by name and DNC-scrubbed before it ships — because a wrong-party dial costs more than an empty row.
- Numbers we can defend. Whether it’s a match rate or a market statistic, we’d rather publish a conservative figure with a methodology than an impressive one without.
