Why the name changed
The product outgrew the name. Solar Scout started by finding homes for solar reps. The same permit, storm, ownership, and contact data now runs roofing and HVAC teams, call-center floors buying lists in bulk, and companies pulling records straight into their own systems through an API. “Scout Data” describes that; “Solar Scout” had stopped describing it.
What you get today
- Scout — the canvassing map. Storm swaths, aging roofs, orphaned solar permits, and move-ins on the map your reps knock.
- Atlas — dialer-ready lists. Filter the country down to a cohort, match owners to DNC-scrubbed phones, export.
- The property data API — the same records, delivered into your own systems.
- Datasets — one-off pulls when you want the data without the software.
Old addresses
scoutstack.ai was an interim name for the same company and now points here. scoutdata.com is the current home for the site, the apps, and support — bookmark it and you are done.
New here?
Start with what the data can show you: the solar permit statistics and rooftop solar adoption by state are both published from the same database the product runs on, or read about the company.
Common questions
Is Solar Scout the same company as Scout Data?
Yes. Solar Scout is the former name. The company is Scout Data Inc., the same team running the same platform for solar, roofing, and HVAC teams.
Where do I log in to Solar Scout?
Sign in at scoutdata.com/login. Accounts and teams are unchanged — the rename changed the name and the address, nothing about your login.
What happened to solarscout.app and scoutstack.ai?
Both were earlier addresses for the same product. scoutdata.com is the current home for the marketing site, the apps, and support.
What are Scout, Atlas, and the API?
They are the three ways to use the same data. Scout is the canvassing map for door-to-door teams, Atlas builds dialer-ready lists for call centers, and the property data API delivers the records straight into your own systems.
