Every home has to count
This installer sells solar and batteries in the Rio Grande Valley and around Killeen, Texas. It has one in-house caller. For a team that size, every home on the list has to count.
100 homes, 8 appointments
The test was 100 homes: panels on the roof, no battery on record, and a recent power outage in the area. The caller made 133 dials. 37 people picked up. 8 booked an appointment. Those are the caller’s own numbers, and they match what our dialer logged.
Then a bigger list
After the test the installer paid for a bigger list: 450 solar homes with no battery, plus 50 homes with older roofs. By October 30 the caller had made 232 dials into it and booked 11 more appointments.
Across both lists: 365 dials and 19 appointments, about 52 for every 1,000 dials. Only 18 of the 330 homes dialed had a wrong number or a bad line.
How it works
A homeowner who just sat through an outage, with panels and no battery, already knows why a battery matters. The caller does not have to explain the problem. We find the homes with panels, take out every home with a battery on record, and can narrow to the areas that just lost power. One person with a phone and the right 100 homes can fill a calendar.
