Epsilon — legally Epsilon Data Management, LLC, owned by Publicis Groupe since 2019 — publishes no price for its consumer marketing data, and its customer-acquisition model starts from the customer file you already have, not from a list you buy. Its data page calls it “the industry’s #1 national consumer database” and sends you to an expert, as read in October 2026.
Whether that model suits you comes down to three questions. Answer them before taking the sales call, because the answers also tell you which alternative to shortlist.
Disclosure: Scout Data is our product and one of the alternatives named below. Read that part as a maker’s pitch.
Question 1: do you have a customer file to model from?
Epsilon’s own description of acquiring new customers begins with understanding the customers you already have: “Using your first-party data—whether you have a lot or a little—paired with our matching technology and online and offline transactional data, we can help you pinpoint new potential customers who are most likely to convert.” That is lookalike modeling. It works well when your customer file is large and the people in it share traits that predict the next buyer.
A home-services call center often has a thin file, or a file of customers whose common trait is the house — an old roof, a south-facing slope, a furnace past its life — rather than the household’s spending. Modeling on the person then finds more people like your customers, not more houses like theirs.
Question 2: is your channel email and digital, or the phone?
Epsilon’s acquisition page names the channels outright: reach prospects “via email or digital media”. Its product list on epsilon.com in October 2026 is built the same way — PeopleCloud, digital media, a data clean room, a customer data platform, a loyalty platform, consumer marketing data, retail media and website personalization. None of those is a dial file. A floor needs one working mobile per home, matched to the person who can say yes, and scrubbed against the Do Not Call registry before the first dial; the Epsilon pages do not describe any of the three.
Question 3: is the pitch about the person or about the house?
Transactional and demographic data predicts what a person buys. Solar, roofing, HVAC and water-treatment pitches are triggered by the property: a permit, a storm path, a roof past fifteen years, a recent sale. If the opener of your script is a fact about the house, the data has to start there, and a consumer database — however large — is the wrong end to start from.
Where your answers point
| Your answers | What to buy | Read next |
|---|---|---|
| Large customer file, email and digital, pitch about the person | Epsilon is a fair fit; so are its holding-company peers | Acxiom alternatives |
| Small file, phone channel, pitch about the person | A consumer list compiler with phones appended | Data Axle alternatives |
| Addresses already in hand, need phones on them | An append or skip-trace vendor | Skip tracing vs data append |
| Phone channel, pitch about the house | A homeowner file built from property signals | Homeowner phone lists for call centers |
The last row is where Scout Data sells. Homes are picked from county records, permits and aerial imagery on the signal your pitch needs, and each comes with a mobile matched to the owner on title and scrubbed against the Do Not Call registry. It is judged the way every option in the table should be: on the cost of each conversation with the right person, a sum laid out in homeowner data cost per record.
Epsilon publishes no rate card, so this page quotes no price for it; claims are as publicly stated on epsilon.com at the time of writing. Confirm current terms with the vendor, and with our sales team for Scout Data.
Frequently asked questions
Is Epsilon Data Management the same company as Epsilon?
Yes. Epsilon Data Management, LLC is the name in the copyright line on epsilon.com, and the company markets itself simply as Epsilon. Its about page says Publicis Groupe acquired Epsilon in 2019 and that it has over 8,000 employees in over 40 offices, as read in October 2026.
How much does Epsilon consumer data cost?
Epsilon publishes no price. Its consumer marketing data page in October 2026 offers “Talk to an expert” and an assessment, not a rate card, so the cost is whatever the contract says. Never budget from a figure someone else was quoted.
Can I buy a phone list from Epsilon for telemarketing?
Epsilon does not present its data that way. Its acquisition use case starts from your first-party data, pairs it with Epsilon’s matching technology and transactional data, and reaches prospects “via email or digital media” (October 2026). Its pages do not describe a telemarketing file or Do Not Call scrubbing; ask its sales team directly if the phone is your channel.
